2007: better than ever! |
The 2007 Country
Festival Skjåk is the best festival in our 10 years
history at the fantastic Country & Western Arena.
It all started on Thursday with a great ball in the old barn.
Our californian dreamgirl Heather Myles was headlining Friday.
Heather is a REAL C&W girl, and played som great songs
that really pleased the audience.
It all ended up with some great shows on Saturday night with
legendary Wendel Adkins and Danni Leigh - amongst others.
Wendel showed us that he really belongs amongst the other
Outlaw-legends. Actually, he was singing better than ever.
The nerve at the consert was, in our eyes, even stronger than
it was back in the 80's when Wendel recorded "Live at
Whisky River".
A great man with a great voice. We all wish him welcome back.
Danni Leigh really rocked the arena with a great show that
ended with a fantastic climax with a really cool new song
and Kris Kristofferson's "Me and Bobby McGee".

The exact numbers ain't ready
yet, but one thing's for sure:
There's never been so many people visiting our festival.
Over 4000 people watched the final show on Saturday night, and
the crowd was LOAD!!!

Even if the total
quality of the shows this year was great - we have to say that
the girls ruled the stage:
they truly represents real C&W girlpower!!!
Danni
Leigh and her band delivered a wonderful show
on Saturday. What a band, what a showgirl, and what a voice!!
As she showed us a couple of years ago, Heather
Myles also delilvered on Friday.
We also got to know another great girl - Mandy
from Country Cattin'/Root'n Toot'n sure knew
how to play her Upright bass...

It's a great pleasure to wish you all
welcome to the festival in 2007! The festival in 2006 is over.
Wow - it was great. What a weekend.
It is hard to say what was the best experience. The atmosphere
in the barn, the fantastic show with Steve Piticco, Don Reed,
Kurk Bernard and Jay Riehl in South Mountain or the consert
in the old church...
The scenery is spectacular, the festivalarena is unique.
The music is REAL country & western, and from this year
on: even the vehicles fits right in.
